The BATTLE OF THE BANDS held at GRAPE STREET, Manayunk, PA was very exciting, the music was phenomenal, and the band members, well, what can we say; these guys truly epitomize the true spirit of social consciousness. The four bands that will be participating in the AFRICAN MARCH OF MILLIONS amongst others are.....follow me.

TRIP TO SOUTH AFRICA TO FILM DOCUMENTARY
CIFKIDS’ President & Founder, Margot Hyland, will be returning to South Africa with a professional film crew to complete the final and last stage of the documentary that she started December, 2005
Over the past few months CIFKIDS’ staff and volunteers in several countries have worked tirelessly to secure an audience with government officials, important members of the South African activist community, fellow humanitarian groups and health care workers currently working with victims, law enforcement representatives, tribal leaders and some of the victims themselves.
Margot will travel to South Africa, Zambia, Uganda, Kenya, Swaziland, Lesotho, Botswana and most of the nine provinces in South Africa. It is Margot’s goal to take a deeper look at both the causes and effects, and to compare and contrast the on going child rape tragedies. Margot will also begin her journey back to South Africa by revisiting her unfortunate “rape” experience; this will allow her to finally put closure to the demons that she has lived with for half of her adult life. Some scenes from her memoir: ACROSS THE COLOUR LINE will also be included in the documentary.

LOVE IN ACTION CONCERT
CIFKIDS is planning our Love in Action Concert which will be staged in Cape Town, South Africa in 2008. The concert will celebrate the commitment of socially conscious citizens of the world as we unite to put an end to child rape and the widespread abuse and exploitation of children and women all over the world. AFRICAN MARCH OF MILLIONS (AMoM)
CIFKIDS will stage our African March of Millions in 2008. The AMoM will unite international supporters of the fight to end child rape and the proliferation of HIV/AIDS in South Africa and other countries of the world. The AMoM will bring the African child rape tragedy and pandemic AIDS crisis to the forefront in South Africa and around the world. CIFKIDS will lead the march to the steps of the South African Parliament where the signatures of concerned global citizens who have signed our Declaration Condemning Child Rape will be presented to the President of South Africa.
